Vending at TasPop North 2019

In the wake of sensations like The Avenger movies, Game of Thrones and Fortnite, the public has taken passionately to activities that would once have been considered ‘nerdy’.
As such, people from 5 years to 60 years, single students to whole families have become enthralled in popular culture and are looking for fun and exciting activities they can participate in, meet new people and spend disposable income.

One of the most popular activities at pop culture festivals like TasPop is shopping in the Vendor’s hall, something attendees look forward to and save up for all year.
TasPop will have a wide variety of different and cost effective vendor options for both artists and small to large commercial entities.
These options including on the day Vendor space and advertising opportunities will enable you to effectively sell directly to TasPop attendees and promote your products or services (whether that be driving traffic to online sites or spread interest in brick and mortar locations).

Our aim is, while still promoting in Hobart, to target the cities and towns of Northern Tasmania which (according to the 2016 census) has a population of roughly 145,00 with focus on locations such as:
Launceston (population 75,000)
Devonport (population 23,000)
Burnie – Somerset (population 20,000)
Ulverstone (population 12,000)

These areas are often overlooked by events run in Tasmania which often pick Hobart in which to run and promote but still have fans and families looking for an exciting day out.
TasPop North will look to attract attendees from these places by running targeted online and physical advertising and hosting in a location much more suitable and easy for travel.

As other events and dedicated pop culture stores are scarce in Northern Tasmania we expect a ravenous crowd of 600+ attendees eager to participate in our event.

Trading Information

TasPop North offers a range of potential vendor setups for you to maximise your presence and selling potential at our event. These packages do not differ on what kind of vendor you are; from a sole artist to a local business to a national enterprise. We aim to allow each individual to craft their space to what suits them and their commercial needs.
Each vendor will be allocated a space in our traders area and within that space purchased items can be setup according to vendor’s requirements.

  • $50 – 1 x 1.8m trestle table. Comes with 2 trader passes, 1 chair, power on request.
  • $30 –  1 x 1.8m(h) 1.2m(w) pin-able backing board. Comes with 2 trader passes if purchased without table.
  • $70 – 1 x 1 x 1.8m trestle table and 1 x 1.8m(h) 1.2m(w) pin-able backing board combo. Comes with 2 trader passes, 1 chair, power on request.
  • $90 – 2 x 1 x 1.8m trestle table. Comes with 2 trader passes, 1 chair, power on request.
  • $130 – 2 x 1 x 1.8m trestle table and 2 x 1.8m(h) 1.2m(w) pin-able backing board combo. Comes with 2 trader passes, 2 chairs, power on request.
  • $130 – 3 x 1 x 1.8m trestle table. Comes with 3 trader passes, 2 chairs, power on request.
  • $170 – 4 x 1 x 1.8m trestle table. Comes with 4 trader passes, 2 chairs, power on request. Can be arranged in square.
  • $5 – Additional trader pass (a maximum of 3).
  • $10 – Additional chair.

Vendor Add Ons

In order to drive extra business to your TasPop North vendor site or to get the word out on additional services or online/outside stores we offer a range of Vendor Add Ons.
The purchase of any Vendor Add Ons will also entitle the vendor to a 50% discount on a table at any future ‘Hobart Geek Markets’ table.

$50 – TasPop North Event Booklet Ad – Each attendee through the door of TasPop North will receive an attendee bag that contains (amongst other things) the official 2019 TasPop North Event Booklet. This booklet will act as a guide to the days activities and include information of all festival content, time table and schedules and venue map. Vendors may purchase half a page (A6) black and white ad in this booklet for promoting their business or services. This booklet will be A5 in size and black and white.

$100 – TasPop North Bag Insert – Each attendee through the door of TasPop North will receive an attendee bag that will contain (amongst other things) the 2019 TasPop North Event Booklet. Vendors may purchase the right to have an advertisement, brochure or other item placed into every attendee bag.

$50 – Logo or Name on Event Booklet Vendor Map – The official 2019 TasPop North Event Booklet will contain a map of the vendor area with each vendor’s area referenced by a number and then named on a legend. Vendors may purchase the right to replace their number with their business name or logo on the map in order to highlight themselves and draw attention to attendees.

Sponsorship Options

$150 ($100 if also buying a vendor space) – TasPop Sponsorship – Small logo on all TasPop North promotional material, your logo in the TasPop North event booklet in the ‘thanks to our sponsors’ section, recognition of sponsorship at the TasPop North open and closing ceremonies, a sponsored post on TasPop’s Facebook page (4000+ likes) over the next 6 month. Sponsorship can be provided in either goods, vouchers or cash.

$350 ($300 if also buying a vendor space) – TasPop Premium Sponsorship – Large logo on all TasPop North promotional material, half page (A6) ad in the TasPop North event booklet, your logo in the TasPop North event booklet in the ‘thanks to our sponsors’ section, recognition of sponsorship at the TasPop North open and closing ceremonies, 2 sponsored posts on TasPop’s Facebook page (4000+ likes) over the next 6 months. Sponsorship can be provided in either goods, vouchers or cash.
